First, Papa requested that I make him crème brulee for a belated Fathers’ Day gift. I’ve never made it before, but Stepmom owns a butane torch, so I was game.
Being a custard-virgin, I followed an Alton Brown recipe like it was a leprechaun leading me to a pot of gold.
I must say, Sister is a much better helper now that she is allowed near the stove…
And can see over the counter without a stool.
Stepmom owns a million ramekins, but not enough of the same for the whole batch.

And really eaters, is there any better sight than walking into the kitchen and seeing a mountain of fresh cookies?
